Your First Visit
Walking into a dental office for the first time can bring up a lot of feelings, from anxiety about the unknown to hope for better dental health. We’re here to empower you with the knowledge to make the best decision about your smile.
Preparing for Your Consultation
Here’s what you can do to get ready and help us make the most of our time together:
-
Your Patient Information Form: To help us get to know you and your health needs, you can fill out your patient information form online before your appointment.
-
Your Insurance Card: If you have dental insurance, please remember to bring it along! This will help make your insurance claims easily to handle.
-
Your Questions: This is your appointment, and we want to hear from you. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t forget to have them ready for asking.
While your first appointment with us will be a comprehensive two-hour experience, not all subsequent appointments will be as long, so let’s make the most of this time together!
Here, It’s All About You
Your Personal Health Story
When you arrive, we'll start by reviewing your dental and medical history forms and discussing your health journey. We'll also take a complete set of X-rays, which takes about 20 to 30 minutes, to make sure we’re getting a full picture of what's happening beneath the surface.
Your "Cardiologist Method" Exam
We will then start your dental exam. Our unique approach looks at everything from your teeth to your jawbone, sinuses, and even your neck! We’ll also explain everything we see on the X-rays and give you a comprehensive understanding of your oral health.
Your Personalized Health Plan
You'll receive a lot of information during this visit, but don’t worry, when your consultation is done, our team will create an individual treatment plan based on the needs and goals discussed. This will give you all the information to help you decide what steps you want to take next.
Your Dental Cleaning
Depending on how your appointment goes and what our treatment plan is, you'll either see the hygienist for a professional cleaning right after your exam or during your follow-up appointment.
Making Your Care Accessible
We believe that understanding your financial options should empower you, not add to your stress. We accept a wide range of insurance plans and will help you navigate your benefits to make informed decisions about your care.
