Meet Dr. James Getz

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Southwest High School. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry.

I served on teaching staff at John Peter Smith Hospital and Southwestern Medical School for 23 years, teaching residents to provide patient care with implants and other restorative procedures for patients who experienced cancer or other trauma.

Why do I love what I do? I love people. I enjoy improving people’s lives by maximizing their smiles. Watching the resulting changes in health and confidence still amazes me. I even had an 82-year-old patient who finally got the smile she always wanted! Her only regret - she wished she had done it sooner.

I am a member of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. I have been practicing dentistry for over 45 years and have been blessed with a Christ-centered practice, a competent and supportive staff, and tremendous patients. This is an exciting time in my career.

I am married to my wife, Kristin, and we have two children: Eric and Dr. Lauren Getz. I spend my free time with family, playing tennis, boating, biking, and hiking.
